The Yes I Can Unity Through Music & Education (YIC) programs move beyond classroom instruction and offer students real‐world practical experience training and working in a community-based settings. Services We Provide
The Festival Project
Yes I Can's flagship program, the Good Karma Music & Arts Festival, hosted its inaugural event in Santa Clarita, CA, in partnership with Bobby Dee Presents. Transitioning from its original identity as the Summer Meltdown Autism Awareness Art & Music Festival, this rebranded initiative aims to empower individuals with disabilities by providing practical training in the entertainment industry. Featuring performances from renowned artists like Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Xzibit, and Too $hort, the festival offers a unique blend of live music, art, and local culture, all managed by Yes I Can student participants with disabilities. These students gain firsthand experience by working alongside industry professionals, showcasing their talents, and preparing for future employment opportunities in a diverse and inclusive environment.
YIC Program
For individuals ages 18+ not currently enrolled in a public school educational program, the YIC Program prepares individuals for employment within the entertainment industry, including training in 21st Century career skills, networking opportunities and career exploration through our industry guest speaker sessions, personal care and development training, vocational training support, as well as community-based career exploration and job shadowing through our entertainment industry corporate partners.
Paid Internship Program
When transitioning to the YIC Internship Program, participants complete a six month paid internship with one of our entertainment industry corporate partners while receiving weekly support from program instructors, as well as one-on-one support from their assigned counselor.
